Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 17, 2026

Orbit Editor("Orbit", "we", "us") is operated by Vexelity. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our website, sign in with GitHub, join a waitlist, or use the Orbit Editor desktop application.

Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with GitHub, we receive your public GitHub profile information (such as your GitHub username, display name, avatar URL, and email address if available from GitHub). We use this to create and manage your Orbit account.

Waitlist

If you join a platform waitlist, we collect your email address and the platform you selected so we can notify you when Orbit is available for that platform.

Usage and analytics

When you use Orbit's hosted AI features, we log request metadata (such as timestamps, model used, and token counts) to enforce plan limits and improve reliability. We do not sell this data.

Our website uses privacy-friendly analytics (Plausible) to understand aggregate traffic patterns. Plausible does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.

Editor usage

Orbit Editor is a local application. Code and files in your workspace stay on your machine unless you explicitly send content to an AI provider you configure. When you use a hosted model through Orbit, prompts and responses are transmitted to our backend and forwarded to the configured AI provider to fulfill your request.

How we use information

  • Provide, operate, and improve Orbit services
  • Authenticate you and manage your account
  • Enforce usage limits and prevent abuse
  • Send product updates you request (such as waitlist notifications)
  • Respond to support requests and security incidents

How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us run Orbit (such as hosting, database, and AI inference providers), when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We retain account and usage data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request account deletion by contacting us.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest, including HTTPS, secure session cookies, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Your choices

You can sign out of your account at any time. You may revoke Orbit's access to your GitHub account through your GitHub settings. To request access, correction, or deletion of your data, contact us at privacy@orbiteditorai.com.

Children

Orbit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International users

If you access Orbit from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
